Design & Media Specialist
Over 15 years of real design & hands-on experience
Everyone seemingly calls themselves a graphic designer these days.
From hard work, self-education, higher education, and a hands-on approach, Tim Jordan has spent the last two decades realizing that it takes more than just buying equipment and paying others to help you create something worthwhile.
While in high school, Jordan took a class in Graphic Design. It was then that he realized his creative eye and hands on approach could serve a purpose for more than just the occasional practical Photoshop joke or informational poster.
Jordan went to on to earn his Bachelor in Art in Visual Art (Graphic Design), concurrently working at the college's University Relations department creating collateral and media for the school at just the age of 19.
After college, Jordan began to work in the motorsports industry as a graphic designer. For three years, he worked creating national advertising campaigns and promotional materials for events, trade shows, and other marketing plans. After three years, Jordan branched out on his own freelancing with TJD and became a design and media instructor at a local Connecticut high school. He is the Technology Department Head and an instructor of Digital Design and Media, Digital Printing, Media Broadcasting, and involved in the production of numerous events and collateral.
Jordan also races NASCAR SK Modifieds locally in Connecticut and enjoys his spare time enjoying anything with an engine. Racing is his passion and he enjoys designing for race cars, teams and drivers alike.
Tim also works closely with locally creative businesses, such as sign shops and design companies, as a freelance designer, consultant and printer.
